We love to serve our city!
Ok, two problems. One, you probably don't love to serve your city, and two, you probably don't even consider Snohomish to be your city.
But that's not the point, is it?
In response to two problems, we'll make two arguments:
- Serving is good for us. No nuance needed; that's it. "The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve" (Matt 20:28).
- This is a gospel influence issue. The gospel, remember, is naturally offensive. Part of our job as Christians is to remove unnecessary barriers to the gospel. Loving our city in ways that don't thrill us gains us favor with the people who "see [our] good deeds" and might one day be more receptive to God's call because of it (see 1 Pet 2:12).
So we invite you simply to come and serve with us. We'll care for the City of Snohomish and its community through landscaping, gardening, trash pickup, and other Spring cleaning community projects. Sign up the whole family and make this city a cleaner and brighter place to live, for God's glory.
