There are over 10,000 foster children in the state of Washington. That's more than all the students in Snohomish Public Schools.
As spiritual orphans who have been made children of God and heirs with Christ (see Romans 8, Galatians 4, Ephesians 1), we want to address the foster crisis in our state together. That's why we're beginning a partnership with Fostering Together.
This event is the first step in a long-term plan and vision we'll be presenting to you soon. It is simply an informational session to describe the state of foster care in our community and cast a vision for how we can be involved in caring for
and supporting foster families.
There are two ways to be involved:
1. Attend the meeting (that's all!)
You'll learn about all the different ways you (along with our church) can potentially support foster families.
2. Volunteer in one of the following areas:
- Setup (4:30pm)
- Snacks/refreshments (5pm)
- Greeting/hospitality (6pm)
- Childcare (6pm)
- Cleanup (8pm)
